Preventing Cervical Cancer is better than treating Cervical Cancer.
If you're under 45, talk to your doctor about the HPV Vaccine!
Cervical Cancer
and Pap Smears
Cervical Cancer is the ONLY Gynecologic Cancer that has a test! The Pap Smear.
-
Under 21 - no screening
-
21-29 - Every 3 years
-
30-65 - Every 3 years PLUS an HPV test every 5 years
-
Over 65 - no screening needed unless you've had an abnormal result in the past.

BUT, you should have an ANNUAL PHYSICAL GYNECOLOGIC EXAM, regardless of your need for a Pap Smear.
